Application — Lead Product Manager, Monetisation (vacancy 2026-114)

Dear Ms Smit,

When Kadewerk announced that its forwarder platform would move from per-seat licences to transaction-based pricing, I read the release notes twice. That transition is exactly the work I have led for the past three years, and I am applying to lead it for you as Lead Product Manager, Monetisation.

At Flowbase I own the billing and packaging domain across three squads. We replaced flat licences with usage-based pricing and lifted net revenue retention from 104% to 117% in four quarters — with support tickets flat, because the migration was sequenced deliberately: invoicing engine first, generous grandfathering, and pricing pages rewritten in the customer's own units. Across eight years in B2B SaaS I have taken products from €0 to €6m ARR.

Kadewerk is the version of this problem I find most interesting. Freight forwarding runs on thin margins and thick spreadsheets; software that planners genuinely open every morning has earned the right to price on value, and doing that without breaking customer trust is a craft. I also know the terrain — I started my career in Rotterdam doing commercial due diligence on mid-market industrial and logistics targets at Van Berkel Consulting.

I would gladly walk you through the Flowbase migration in detail, including the two decisions I would take differently today. I am available for a conversation at short notice and could start on 1 October.

Kind regards,

Merel Jansen
